...I got the job with Live Nation! It happened quicker than I could ever have imagined: interview on Tuesday, job offered on Wednesday (I must have said something right. Either that or they REALLY liked my suit). So, just when I was feeling like I was ready to give up, I land -- yes, my friends -- my dream job. I am totally psyched for this, and I can't wait to write about the new experiences this job will bring!I am going to be working in the Corporate Sales/Sponsorships/Alliances division as a Sales Administrator (I believe that is what my official title is going to be). So, what does this mean? I found a really good press release here that helps explain what my department does, if you are interested. The company is HUGE with many different departments and divisions, and it is going to take some time to learn all the ins and outs of the business. I start on January 28th, and am finishing up at The Hippodrome this week. I will miss my co-workers, but I know I will be visiting them from time to time.
One catch to this excitement is that the office is DC. Yeah, kinda sucks. I love B-more, and I have no intentions of leaving anytime soon. I am going to make the commuting thing work whether I like it or not! Being on the MARC Train for 40 minutes there-and-back will give me some time with my iPod and many books I've been wanting to finish (and begin :).
I'll keep you posted on all the new excitement. Who knows, maybe Madonna and I will become BFF.
